25 Mar 2023 by Leigh Fabris

Thanks to all the players, partners and supporters who attended the Club’s Presentation Night last night, held at the Traralgon RSL. It was a fantastic night, which was well attended and well hosted by Club President Peter Dunstan. Here is a summary of the Awards given out last night.

The night started off with the C Grade Awards being presented by skipper Daniel “Eggy” Morris. Ash Lovas kicked off one of her many awards to be received for the night, taking the bowling honours, while veteran 9ers took out the batting honours. Dylan Loots was given the Captains Award, while the Pitbull Ash Smith took great delight in capturing the C Grade Champion Award, with his humility on full display with him proclaiming “I just had to turn up to win”.

Imps Players Player Award – Ash Lovas

The Players Player Award is an award voted on by the playing group to the player who puts in the most effort during training nights and also on game days, and it was no surprise that it was given to Ash Lovas, given how well respected she is among the playing group. Ash was a number of votes clear of second place, and a runaway winner of the Players Player Award.

Eric Malone Best Clubman Award – Scott & Mel Aitken

The first dual award winners of the Eric Malone Best Clubman Award, with husband and wife Scott and Mel Aitken taking the honours. The Aitkens do a huge amount of work behind the scenes at Imps, and they’re work is pivotal to the running of the Club. Amazingly, this is Scott’s third consecutive season receiving the Best Clubman Award.

Thanks to everyone who attended. The Club’s Committee now turns their attention towards planning for next season.
